Leven made an 'Easter basket' at day care. Well, the eyes fell off...and I showed him how to squint and use those eyes for his...it was too funny to not take a picture.

Okay Wendy, there you go...i finally updated the blog...:) sorta.

A couple weeks ago, upon leaving for work I saw some Spiderman eggs on the counter, now, these had JUST been in the cupboard up above the refridgerator...SO that means someone and it was not me had to climb up and get them...so, i said to Leven "Please do not get up on the counters in the middle of the night...you could fall off the counter and Nana would not know and you could get hurt." His reply was..."Oh don't worry Nana, I will make noise if i fall off the counter."

We went to the Panda Express drive thru, and you know they always give you fortune cookies, well, i cracked opened mine and read the fortune...then Leven said "oh can i have one" so I gave him his, he said as he opened it "do you know what mine says Nana? " no Leven, he then said
"It says don't eat the paper, only the cookie"...

Otherwise...life is good.

I had another trip to hospital, long story short...ended up in surgery, and now i have a wound vac..which if you do not know what one is they are pretty cool. They make your wound heal rather quickly, the are constant suction on the wound..no they do not hurt.

Leven stayed with Wendy & Jeremy while I was in the hospital. Lookie what aunt Wendy bought for Leven...he wears this often...:) No, not to the grocery store yet...I am hopeing that will not come up.

September....

Well what a wild month it has been. In the hosptial again...for several days with an infection. Also, I had a mastectomy, that was the 8th. Went back to work today the 28th....Due to some bad choices of one of my kids' Shay & Adam have guardianship of her two little ones...Talon & Kadin. I am greatful that they took them into their home. I know that they will be loved, be safe, be happy, I could go on. No amount of thanks will ever express the thankfulness and love to them, all 5 of them.

MY HAIR...

Well, as you may know. I am going through chemo. One of the side effects, they tell you about, is YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR HAIR. Well, as of most of us, we like our hair. I would rather cut it all off myself than to have it fall out in chunks. So, I asked Wendy to bring her clippers when she came down. She did...we joked how she would give me several different styles first.. However, it was not that fun. Kind of emotional. I am glad that she was the one to share that with me.
This week was hell. It was not fun. Dr's everyday to check blood, and to get a shot to help build up my white cells. I did however get a needed break from radiation. I only have ten more of those treatments left. From this i have very very bad burns. It peels in sheets. Painful too. ugh. Oh well it all will be done in August.

all moved

Yay. We are moved in. It is amazing at how much room we have!!
Yes, the surgery went well. I have 5.5 more weeks of radiation left to go. Still do not know about chemo yet. The Dr. has ordered a test called oncotype dx. It is a gene test to score someone on what their chances of reocurrance are. So, im praying for a low score. All is good...just a bit tired from the radiation. But, mostly on the days that I have class...and work. fun... it will all be good. One of these days I will post the story of how I found out about my cancer. otherwise known as the alien implant. :) lol

kids say funny things...

Of course finding out your are going to get a new home has been exciting. And, I know I have said to Leven, "Yay!! We are getting a house!". So, last night we are laying in my bed, and Leven says "Hey Nana" I said What Leven? he replies in his oh so most excited voice "LEVEN GOT A HOUSE NANA".
:) Some other funny things were said, he was visiting his grandpas house, and grandpa gave him a toy pick up truck, so, later when I was putting Leven in his car seat, he said holding up his newest treasure, "Look Nana, Pop-pop gave me a hick up truck!" Have a great week everyone!!

New House!!

WELL I finally did it...I am buying a house !!! I am so excited...It will close by April 2nd, so I am told. More to follow...

PETS

I have noticed on my "blog stocking" adventures that several people have gotten new pets...mostly cute puppies. If I were to get a puppy I would get a Great Dane. And his/her name would be 'Pony'. We currantly have no pets, unless you count a cat that was left by someone who used to live in this complex, the neighbor and Leven feed him...What kind of pet do you have? If you do not have a pet, what kind would you like to have?

yes yes i know...

I know it is already the 10th...I have not said a peep...I will say Primary will never be the same...Leven is in there now. His teacher said "He is all boy!" LOL...Santa was good, he brought Leven his own computer, which he loves, and a Thomas train set thingy, and some extra track for it. His Pop-pop brought him some Speed racer cars, and the movie and his is in love with those..he calls them all "Spig Racer" lol....
I will attempt to post a picture...it will be from my cell phone, not a fancy digital camera...just my beloved voyager...it does take somewhat decent photos for a phone..go figure....
I will try to post more often...but, classes start tuesday...one of the 2 i have left...yay..this one is Math 105 joy...my most least favorite subject :) ... wish me luck

Christmas...

Can you believe it is almost Christmas?? This year will be most fun, as Leven is and excited three year old!! Loves to go look at the Christmas lights all over town. I am greatful to be able to share it with him. All though Iam from Ohio, and miss the cold and snow this time of year, it has been delightfully chilly outside :)

quite Sunday

It was a nice quite day for the most part. Leven was calm at church today, no circus tent had to be erected at our seat!! Our home teachers came over today as well.
Now that Thanksgiving day is over, not that I am not thankful on a daily basis...but, now the Christmas season is in full swing...I typically am a scrooge...bah humbug...I love the reason for this time of year, but, I do not really get into the shopping and all of that...i dunno...I do like to go look at Christmas lights...my grandmother and I used to go with the kids every year. One year, I had just had a kidney stone removed and was home from hospital the day before, we took the kids to pizza hut and off we went. They would complain because sometimes she would slow down for the houses with one light...and speed by the ones with many.

I don't want to go to school...

This morning the boy did not want to go to 'school'. Instead he requested to go to work with me to see Debra...she is my asst. manager. So, when we were driving by the store this am, he said as we drove by, hey, go see Debra...then i said she is at home, he then replied, go to her house.
I wonder how long this don't want to go to school will last....I took him and of course the BIG tears were rolling down his cheeks, I gave him a hug and a kiss, he looked up at me with the SAD SAD puppy dog eyes as i left...When I picked him up, he was happy and had a good day..he was listening to his teacher. :) yay.

first day

Well, today was Levens first day at the daycare...he did okay. His teacher said that he had trouble listening...imagine that ??? He did better than I did...you would think I would be old hat for this, leaving kids?? Ha!

Thanks Sabra, I have heard that too...and I HAVE some "family" who does that back East, cuz, they have septic....LOL... no joke...:)

YAY it is finally FRIDAY!!
I would like to ask a question!? Okay I work at a gas station...can you tell me why half of the people do not look at what pump they are on??? OR why do they get mad when we ask to see their ID to use their credit card??? OR they get mad if we wont just turn on the pumps??? OR WHY do they leave sugar and creamer spilled all over the counter, or even better, wipe their booties with paper towels, and toss it in the waste paper basket...??? or the floor. I often wonder if they do this at home?!!

Ahhh well now what? I could tell you all about me...there really is not much to tell...
I have three fabulous...well somewhat fabulous...actually they all at some point in time given me way too much greif!!! At this point in time Shannon and her family (Chris and Giovanni) live in Blythe...Rob and his family (Page and their son Zion) are in Sacto, Ca. Whitney and her family (Michael and Talon) live here in Yuma. Leven, lives with me, I am lucky to have him with me he is a great little boy!! I am sure there will be lots of his adventures blogged on here, as that is who I spend most of my time with...except the nessesary evil called WORK.....
